The start.

Hello and thank you for visiting mij home page.

Mij name is Arend Homan, and I have been involved with pigeons since the age of six.

I started out whit a few ( Old Dutch Turbits ), just for fun.

At the age of ten I begon with a couple race and bred pigeons from the market and joined one of the local clubs named "de Eendracht " in Groningen.

So the start was made, but had little succes with them.

But they helpt to educate me on the rights and wrongs of racing pigeons

After a couple of learning years, we invest in several Delbar pigeons from someone who had no longer time to race because of his work.

Later in de 70's we bought a couple pigeons from a champion named Cees Nooyen, who lived in Tilburg. This pigeons made my a pigeonfancier because the results where very good.

In 1978, we moved from Groningen to Sappemeer where we played succesfuly in three differant local clubs.

In 1988, we moved from Sappemeer to Helmond ( North - Brabant ) the southpart of the Netherlands because of my work.

In the beginning there was no time because of the new job, and there we had a little garden to place a small loft, so the results where also minimal, later we moved into our present adress in a detached house white a large garden.

In the year 2004 we bought eight pigeons from Maurice Voets Kessel Belgium.

Also the racing results of the youngster from the Voets pigeons are very good.

The performences increased more and more in the last years.
